About Medical Utility Film Applications

We extrude Argotec™ films from a variety of Polyurethane (PU), polymers and blends for a diverse array of medical applications outside the wound care market. We have strong, thicker, durable, puncture-resistant and air-holding films for inflatables, and unsupported blown aromatic films with excellent heat sealing and thermo-formable properties.

 

SWM produces medical utility applications for products like bedding, blood pressure cuffs, wheelchairs, probe covers and many more. Conwed square netting cam be used to support bedding and mattress layers and for filtration in medical devices.

Delstar™ Uses in Medical

Delstar™ (formerly known as Stratex™) engineered composites include our signature collection of laminate pad stock items, utilized in most of the finger bandages produced worldwide. Delstar has the ability to combine up to five layers of facings and substrates, without chemical adhesives. We can create structures to meet defined absorbency, loft, wicking, repellency, and release and barrier characteristics. Additionally, as we uncover new ways of combining our own products during manufacture, we are achieving more efficient and cost-effective composites. Our super-absorbent laminates with film backings are excellent for spill-safety applications, such as chemotherapy drug preparation pads.
