Delnet™ Aperature Film is a lightweight mesh, uniquely extruded, embossed and oriented using high density polyethylene (HDPE), or co-extruded with lower melt resins. It can be used for filtration applications in medical devices.
SWM specializes in medical filter media for facemasks, and we produce medias with excellent breathability ratings without sacrificing BFE performance or blood strike through performance. We offer a variety of Delpore meltblowns available in different polymers including: PP, PBT, and PA. We have the capability of adding additives to reinforce or encapsulate the meltblown media, in order to enhance performance. Most of our meltblown grades can be custom tailored to achieve the mean pore, BFE and resistance ratings needed.
Our Delpore™ Electrostatic Media (formerly Alphastar) captures a wide assortment of dust, pollen and contaminated air particles. Because the triboelectric material has both positive and negative charge, it attracts air particles which increase filtration efficiency. Delpore has commonly be used for filtration for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) units and other medical equipment. Air filters are vital components in keeping a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) unit running safely and without introducing pathogens into the airway.
